Cladding fades, chalks and weathers long before it wears out. Rather than replacing it, we refresh and protect timber, UPVC and composite cladding from our Swindon base, either restoring the original colour or changing it completely.

Cladding types we coat
Each material needs a different approach:
- Timber cladding: cleaned, sanded and primed, then finished in paint or stain
- UPVC cladding: coated with specialist adhesion primers and paints made for plastic
- Composite boards: prepared and coated with compatible systems
Can UPVC cladding be painted?
Yes. With specialist UPVC primers and paints, UPVC cladding can be changed to almost any colour. The key is the primer: ordinary paint will not grip a plastic surface, so we use adhesion primers designed specifically for UPVC before the colour coats go on.
Preparation
We clean, sand and prime every surface thoroughly. Dirt, green growth and chalky old coatings are removed first, because any of them will stop the new coating bonding. Damaged boards are pointed out before we start, so you can decide whether to replace them first.
Spray or brush
Cladding can be sprayed or brushed. Spraying gives a smooth, even, factory-like finish on large areas, and is often the quickest route on long elevations. Brushing is used where overspray would be a problem or on smaller sections. We protect windows, doors and surrounding surfaces either way. If you are unsure whether your cladding is worth coating or needs replacing, we will look at the condition of the boards on our visit and tell you honestly which makes more sense before quoting.
How long it lasts
With proper preparation and quality coatings, painted cladding typically lasts 8 to 12 years before it needs a refresh. That makes coating a cost-effective alternative to replacing faded boards.
