Shops, hospitality, units and business premises
Commercial Painting in Swindon
Giraffe Decorators is a Swindon painting firm, and a good share of our work is for businesses rather than homes. Shops, restaurants, hotels, showrooms and business units all need a finish that looks sharp to customers and stands up to daily traffic, and they need it done without closing the doors for a week.
This page covers commercial premises in general. If your job is purely an office fit-out or refresh, our office painting page goes into the detail of working around desks, IT and staff.
How we keep your business trading
The biggest cost of a commercial repaint is usually not the paint, it is lost trade. We plan the work around your opening hours and regularly paint in the evenings, at weekends and during planned closures, so staff and customers come back to a finished space rather than a building site.
On larger premises we split the job into zones, so one area is being painted while the rest carries on as normal. Floors, stock and fixtures are sheeted and masked before we start, and each zone is cleaned down before it is handed back.
Premises we paint
The commercial side of the business covers a wide mix of buildings. Typical work includes:
- Retail units and shopfronts, inside and out
- Restaurants, pubs and cafes, including kitchens and customer areas
- Hotels and guest rooms, often floor by floor
- Showrooms, reception areas and customer-facing spaces
- Business and trade units, including floors and steelwork
Coatings chosen for heavy use
Commercial walls take far more knocks, scuffs and cleaning than a living room. We use hard-wearing, commercial-grade coatings that can be wiped down, and we match the product to the space: scrubbable finishes for corridors and customer areas, moisture-resistant systems for kitchens and washrooms, and floor coatings where the ground takes the punishment.
Where a unit needs a floor treatment as well, our floor painting and epoxy service covers garages, workshops and showrooms with anti-slip options available.
