Industrial buildings take constant wear. Steelwork rusts, floor coatings wear through where forklifts turn, and line marking fades until nobody can read it. We carry out industrial painting from our Swindon base for units, workshops and light industrial premises across our local area.
This is a different job to painting an office or a shop. The surfaces are tougher, the coatings are specialist, and the work has to fit around shifts, deliveries and safety rules on site.
What industrial painting covers
Most industrial jobs are a mix of the following, priced and planned together so the site only has one disruption:

Preparation decides how long it lasts
Paint on an industrial surface fails from underneath. Rust, oil, dust and old flaking coatings all stop a new layer from bonding. We clean and prepare every surface properly before any coating goes on, and we choose primers made for the substrate, whether that is bare steel, galvanised metal or concrete.
Floors get the same treatment. A floor coating is only as good as the concrete it sits on, so we prepare the slab first and then apply the system. Anti-slip, chemical and oil resistant finishes are available.
Working around a live site
Industrial clients rarely have the option of shutting down. We work out-of-hours and at weekends where needed, zone the site so production can carry on, and agree access and safety arrangements with your team before we start.
Floor coatings need curing time before they can take traffic. As a guide, light foot traffic is usually fine after 24 hours, and full use including vehicles typically after 72 hours, so we plan floor work for weekends or shutdown periods.
